98 honda shadow 750cc . Has 9800 cc on it, previously bought 2nd hand. No owners manual, everything seems to check out. (limited experience with motorcycles) original tires, back tire tread look worn. He wants 5 grand (canadian), includes sissy bar, saddle bags, 2 helmets. Is buying a third hand bike a good idea, or is it really buyer beware on this one. I'm thinking of offering 4 grand. buster-even with all those accessories?
It's the condition of the bike that matters, not the number of owners. With a used bike it is always buyer beware.
That said, even $4k is too much for an 11-year-old Shadow.
