my buddy has a 1996 sportster 883/1200 kit just rebuilt. 18,000 on the tranny and he's asking 4000. is this a reasonable price? doesnt leak any oil. rides good. good power. its a dark green color and there is a small crack in the back finder from where it fell in a garage but saddle bags would cover it and its hard to see anyway. the number one thing i dont like about it is the small peanut tank. it also has loud pipes and mild cams, and forward controls. ok public... what do you say would it be a deal???
I've had a ride on one of these bike 4000 is a great price for that one you are describing the fuel tank even though its small with a full tank it runs for ages! The pipes are great on harleys beautiful sound

Harley wants to join motorcycle group, let him?
Second time this happens, I dont wanna say no, but I'm pretty sure he won't be too happy. Should I let him join us? I dont wanna be a douch3 bag and leave him behind on the highway, but I dont wanna wait up for him either. He has a sportster. our group is sport bikes only so far. Any suggestions will be appreciated. We ride on the highway, randomly we hit 120 ish Actually, we dont cruise at 120... we hit 120 every now and then, when there are no cars around. we drive at night. and for only going 120, we are one of the "non crazy" groups. We see a lot of bikes fly by us doing 150+ Phillip, I have never seen animals at night on the highway O_O! U must live out in the country or something. I'm in Dallas, tx. We have the tollway, late at night, there is like 25% of the traffic. And yes, beleive it or not, on thursday nights (bike night) we see people do 150+, wheelies and other stuff. (we dont do stunts).
Although they are probably right about the critters at night, its your life, you do what you want with it. I ride a little crazy right now, but I dont plan to do so for the rest of my life. Just enjoying it at the moment. Anywho, either explain to him that he isnt going to be able to keep up, or take him for a ride 1 on 1 and see if he can. Sounds fairly green to me if he's insisting and he has a sportster..
