I actually got the opportunity to weigh my Road king the other day - it was 842 pounds. This included about 3/4 tank of gas, and a few things in my saddlebags, but I think the bulk of the extra weight over and above the factory spec came from many of the aftermarket accessories I've added to the bike. I can't believe people actually want to ride Japanese sport bikes when they weigh less than half of what my bike weighs - what a joke!. So do you know what your bike weighs?
yeah, my bike weighs about half what yours does, any time you want to got to the track let me know and I'll show you why jap sport is better than HD.
Look at a more important figure, out of that 850lbs, you get what 100 h.p. ... maybe, and in my 400lbs, I've got oh 175!
hmmmm.... almost twice the power and less than half the weight, I can't see why anyone would want that!
oh, and if we end up in the grill of a semi, your 850 isn't gonna do any better than my 400.
