harley Touring Will SE 203 cams provide ample performance in a touring Harley-Davidson?
Different cams will offer different performance options from low - mid - high end torque or horsepower. You need to match up the cam you want to the type of riding your are planning to do. The SE 203 cams come in the big bore kits for the 88ci motors and give power in the low-mid range torque (when combined with the increased ci).
There is no substitue for cubic inches with your bike. If you are wanting more speed from red light to red light, then go with a 95cu in upgrade.
I have seen some quick bikes with only a cam change, but they were using aftermarket gear driven cams (not a bad idea).
A stated previously, go visit a local shop and get the info from the techs, who work on bikes and see all types of configurations. Then see what route you want to take (esp depending on the funds you have to spend).
