large motorcycle saddlebags Can I carry a billy club on a cross-country trip?
I will be traveling alone on a 5,000 mile motorcycle trip this Summer. I am 20, so cannot carry a concealed handgun. I could carry a handgun in my saddlebag, but would have to leave the ammo for it in the other saddlebag. (Which would be very useless.) I will be camping in remote areas the entire trip, so any weapon is more for defense against four-legged animals than anything.
I am considering carrying a swanky billy club which I made. Since I obviously do not have the Right to keep and bear firearms,(!) I'm curious as to how the law effects me carrying a large stick with me on my travels.
What laws might effect my carrying of a club? Do you have any other suggestions?
You are allowed to have a large stick.
Or you could get a big Mag-lite flashlight, it would be useful all the time (well at night), and it's really solid.
