Leather saddle Is it safe to use saddle soap on leather furniture?
I am looking for an inexpensive leather couch conditioner/protector. Is saddle soap OK to use?
Saddle soap is NOT GOOD for your leather furniture. It will make it look good but is actually harmfull in the long run... Lexol No Bull are a few good ones ... Then there is plain old H2o on a soft cloth..
Many of your store bought auto based leather cleaners seal up the leather to the point that it can not breath. A good condtioner needs to moisterise the leather as well as allow the leather absorb and react to the envirment its in... Saddle soap does not do this....

I am looking at a used saddle that I might buy. I rode in it today, and it is so comfortable. The only problem is that it has some minor cracking above the knee pads. Is it possible for these cracks to be repaired by a saddle repair shop? I am going to use the saddle for showing. The rest of the leather is in good condition. It is a very good price, and an expensive brand name. I couldn't find anything on the internet about fixing these cracks, only how to prevent them. Thanks!

Go to this site it will tell you how to fix those cracks good luck, but I would still ask the repairman on the previous site to be 100 %
