Magnetic Tank Bag What's a 2000 GSX-R 600 tank made out of?
This is my boyfriend's bike and I want to get him a tank bag for his birthday...the Joe Rocket ones which are really cool are all magnetic...is the tank on this bike plastic or is it metal? Also, what other tank bags are cool and under $60?
I'm pretty sure that it is all metal. The newer Gixxers have a plastic front half but there are no issues. I have a Joe Rocket Manta for longer rides & I love it because of the contour & magnet strength. I have an 08 1000 with the front half as plastic. I took the plastic half off, epoxied a big washer underneath, put it back on & it sticks well. Great bag choice!
