This bike has 8996 miles on it, never been dropped, red and chrome with saddlebags and sissy bar. Private seller is asking $3000. I am a 23 year old female who is new to riding (well...driving) a motorcycle...I will be getting my licence this month. I am also only 5'4'' tall. Is this a good bike to get? Is it the right size for me? Does the price sound fair or is it worth more/less? How much should I plan to spend on maintenance yearly (i.e. oil, tires, tuneups)? Please let me know any advice you have for me! Purchased the bike today...it's actualy a 600cc and is the deluxe model. I paid $2800 and he threw in a free tire and spare fender. Thanks for the info!
Motorcycle consumer news says that this year bike would cost about $2300. With this type of bike, its pretty much gas an go. Low yearly maintenance cost. Sit on the bike and if both feet are flat on the ground you should be comfortable. Just change the oil before putting it away for the season. Best of luck.

I am currently border-line obese. All my fat is stored up in these huge saddlebag fat rolls that hang over my hips and i can't get rid of them. I was at walmart buying some diet pills when the clerk that was scraping the gum off the floor told me about this new sugar diet where you eat 400 to 500grams of sugar per day and try to minimize your carbohydrates while keeping your fat content the same. I went to Krispy Kream and they told me that diet plan was written all over their 24 variety pack of doughnuts. Sadly to say, i've gained an extra 50lbs and I can't get back into contact with the clerk at wal mart. How can i lose these saddlebags in a hurry ? Thanks guys !

saddlebag Throw Can I convert a Harley belt drive to chain drive?
I have an 2005 Road King and want to convert. Actually my mind is made up. The shop said it can be done. He said however more dirt will be thrown around under the saddlebags. Somebody I know said the chain and sprockets will wear out every 20,000 miles. I don't believe that, I know with a little maintanance it will go a LOT longer.
Tom, You have your mind made up so just go ahead and do it. Afterall, you probably know whether or not you can do maintenance on a chain, afford frequent replacement, enjoy the whining and slapping of a chain. It's your bike and your clothes, Terry. Wear and ride what you like. Who said the sixties were bad anyway? The only ones I hear talk about it weren't there. I just bought two seats for my bike. Custom double Solo setup. Fringe on the rear for the old lady, and none on the front. The reason mine doesn't have fringe is that I ride it all the time. Keeping the white fringe pretty would be too much of a pain. My jacket has fringes and no one has ever said anything about it except "I remember that jacket."
