Had a GIVI luggage rack on my Suzuki Sportsbike that worked out great. But I upgraded to a Suzuki Boulevard C-109RT Touring Motorcycle. The expensive stock saddlebags that came with it are very large, hold a lot of cargo, but can't be locked.
Since I am planning a couple pretty long overnight trips with it soon, I would like to at least find and price some saddlebags that can be locked either with a pad lock setup or built in lock set like on a HD Hard Bags.
Already looked at the Corbin's, and they are a bit out of my price range... Over $1,200!

motorcycle luggage bags How do I take the saddlebags off of my motorcycle?
I can't figure out how to take these off. It's a Honda GoldWing GL1000 luggage set. I have one key - the key opens the luggage bags but doesn't work to take the bags off of their frame (the key goes in seemingly about half way as if it were too short and does not turn, maybe I'm doing something wrong?). The key is numbered 425 and all four keyholes are numbered the same. Do you usually get two keys, one to open the bags and one to take the bags off or do you usually get one key for both? Is there a button you have to press? Abra Cadabra didn't work, neither did Open Saysame - I already tried. I bought this set used from a trusted seller but we are both unfamiliar with how to take these off. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Work it like Chris says. It may be hung up with corrosion. I'm willing to bet that you have found half of the missing key. (I gave up gambling a very long time ago.)

I am flying sady up to a motorcycle rally.. now here is my plan i have packed everything i can into my check in luggage and now im on to my carry on. my bag is small but i want to know if they would let my carry a bag and a helmet? if anyone could help it would mean alot to me! -Jessica
